Abstract Colormix Studios

Founder and artist · Brand, website and photo pipeline · 2024 to now
My painting studio, and the gallery that shows it. Some canvases hold a second painting that only blacklight shows, so I wrote a photo capture spec for both views and built a gallery on Next.js and Supabase with deep zoom. Collectors can inspect the brushwork before they buy.
Project story
The studio
Abstract Colormix Studios is my own studio, so I am the artist, the photographer and the website's producer. I built the site from the ground up with AI coding tools, as a collection gallery in Next.js and Supabase, with Three.js scenes, GSAP motion and deep zoom so a collector can inspect brushwork up close.
I photograph every painting myself, to a capture spec that supports both the deep zoom view and the blacklight view of the same canvas.
The identity
The brand rule is short: the room is gray, and the art is the color. Thirteen grays build the pages, and at rest color shows only in the logo ring and thin collection rules. Josefin Sans Light sets the headings and Montserrat sets the rest. A brand guidelines booklet records the logo, color, type, motion and words.
Logo design
The logo is the studio name inside a full-spectrum ring, drawn as a single hairline gradient through six stops: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Its master is light letters on dark grounds, and the ring alone serves as the favicon.
Supporting work
The studio's print program: business cards, info cards and large-format posters.
