Pumpkin & Wyatt
Brand identity and website · Client project
Pumpkin & Wyatt was a pop-up business I created a brand identity for, carried across every medium: the logo, envelopes, letterhead, notepads, business cards, jewelry tags and mini cards.
Project story
The project
Pumpkin & Wyatt is a boutique run by a couple from a family in the gemstone trade. They sell jade, by appointment only, and the online store also listed porcelain and jewelry. I designed the whole identity, with English and Chinese side by side.
The identity
Three colors from the logo carry the identity: deep brown, brick red and gold. Pumpkin orange is kept for the pumpkin, the harvest and the Chinese name. The same marks run across cards, tags, stationery, store and banner ads, and the pumpkin vine appears on the hang tags and nowhere else.
Logo design
The logo is an art nouveau monogram: a boy, a pumpkin and a W in one drawing, inside a loose gold frame. A wide lockup sets the Chinese name above and the English below, with the boy standing on the bar of the last T.
Supporting work
Business cards on 30pt linen with Chinese characters and a QR code, and hang tags cut by hand and hung on rope. Folded notecards, three notepads, letterhead and an envelope. Banner ads in three colorways, an advertisement in Style 1900, an online store built on Adobe Business Catalyst, and the product photography of the jade.
